How peaceful! It looks like Africa!
Chris: I will have to take your word for that Elizabeth: it certainly is peaceful though
This is a beautiful landscape Chris.
Chris: Thank you Frances
Evokes feelings of peace and relaxation....wish I could be there!
Chris: You would have liked this Fred. Last time I was there, in June, the lake was virtually dry

Amazing picture, the water is reflecting the blue water so fabulous.
Wonderful scene, a surprise indeed!!
Have a great day, I hope you had a great evening last night.
Chris: This was a great & pleasant surprise Astrid. The concert of "classical African music" yesterday evening was wonderful. This evening I am going to another: Cuban music, salsa etc...

Did you rip off your clothing and leap in, Chris...it surely looks inviting?
Chris: It's a wee bit too cold for that sort of thing in October...

At first I thought we were rather in a level country thanks to your lower angle- but now I see the hills and read your words recalling a lovely day! Yes, we are just enjoying a second Indian ssummer although the termperatures have gone down -I wish you a pretty Sunday - perhaps you can observe the bird migration to the southern countries as we here can do!
Chris: This is the very top of the Mendip Hills near the village of Priddy Philine. The bird migration is sadly over now for us
I can only imagine it to be some sort of water supply for the area. It surely isn't a natural feature. But then I'd love to be proved wrong.
Chris: It actually is a natural feature, collecting water from the surrounding hills

Very attractive, Chris; I like the crescent of green planty things in the water.

Luckily the weather was the same yesterday for a walk with friends along the South West Coast Path from Lyme Regis back to Burton Bradstock, via Golden Cap.
Chris: Thank you Alan. Lyme to BB yesterday must have been heaven if you had the same weather as us!
Too much sky but the rest is grand!
Chris: Could have cropped it a bit I suppose but in my defence I will say there is rather a lot of sky up there on the Mendip Hills
Your tree's aren't changing at all. Ours are going full force now. Beautiful shot, Chris.
Chris: Thank you Mary: some of our trees are actually bare now!
Crop the water then
Chris: I LIKE IT AS IT IS!!
It is a lovely find Chris, but I agree with Lord Clench on the sky needing just a small crop, sorry.
Chris: I am always open to criticism Brian

No, I love the sky as it is- and the lake reflecting the sky is almost as large as the sky - BLUE is the colour of this heavely day - there are only small stripe of green and brown land - I love this beautiful composition very much and it would be a 'crime' to crop something! My wish: Only one teeny-weeny white could could have settled down in the bright sky where I may have taken seat for just some minutes - but we cannot wish all things!

sorry: white cloud could
Chris: I understand Philine but on that day there were no clouds at all
Quiet, contemplative composition, Chris.
Chris: It was a serene and calm day Tom: thank you

This looks so calm and idyllic Chris
Chris: I think you have summed it up Anne
Certainly the blue yonder.
Yes... Nice place to be...
