With a climb for this view, Chris.
Chris: Another Christmas Day shot Ray. I had the world to myself
Nice shot Chris, is that the one that Peter Gabriel sang about ?
Chris: It is indeed Frank, our house faces it from a distance of a couple of miles
What lovely layers!! I went to the link and did answer Frank's question - that yes, it is referenced in Peter Gabriel's song.
Chris: This is a Natural Trust site, and therefore protected forever from development
Absolutely ethereal, Chris. I love it. (And how surprised I was to copy and paste the text into Bing and it not only detected English but translated it into English. And here I thought I'd see Greek?)
Chris: Thank you kindly Ginnie

What an amazing view this is, Chris. I love the B&W here. You are so lucky to have these hills so close by and never to be developed.

Chris: That is the joy of the National Trust, it protects things in perpetuity..

I'm sure that is song from Mike Oldfield(? - or maybe someone else!) about Solsbury Hill. I like the layers and even black and white works well.
Chris: Peter Gabriel, he has a studio not far from here..

Ah... I'm thinking of "Hergest Ridge"; that's Mike Oldfield.
Chris: Yes indeed you are, on the Herefordshire border with Wales..

A lot of days recently when we are having mist in that valley. How fine to be on that hill on Christmas Day all alone
Chris: This was a move inspired by the weather on that day Lisl
Reminds me of foggy mountain dew, a subject of songs. Beautiful!!!
Chris: Thank you Mary
A lovely early morning view.
Chris: It was worth the steep climb Brian
I enjoy pastoral scenes
especailly foggy ones
Chris: Thank you Alan
Fine image, Chris!
Chris: Much obliged Tom
