Rather Good...innit!
Chris: Be careful that what you leave in a book, as a mark, is not something that it of a compromising nature..
Is this a library display?! It's pretty cool!
Chris: In this place Elizabeth

Things they've found in books
What a good idea, I wonder if they found my list of bank acc's ? smile
Chris: They might have purloined all your dosh Frank!

What a wonderful idea to collect them. I once found a love letter in a book.
Chris: Such a find is enough to send the imagination racing Philine. An author might see such anonymous correspondence as a gift from providence..
Une belle cueillette ...sourires !
Chris: An interesting collection isn't it..

Now that is interesting; I would never have thought that should be such a rich variety. I don't think I've knowingly left in a bookmark.
Chris: I suppose these things must happen on a regular basis..

Some may be treasured things, Chris
Chris: And all lost to their owners too Lisl
We have found all sorts, letters, bank statements, postcards ..... So this made me smile!
Chris: Every now and again I have great chuck-out exercises, finding and then disposing of papers I had long forgotten about

I like that idea Tiff, but it would be relatively easy to fake.
Chris: Very much so Chad, but I doubt if these are, in the Book Barn at Hallatrow

I see that they haven't put any of the rude things up.
Chris: There is no RUDERY here. The people of Somerset are PURE in mind and spirit
I am happy with any promotion of books and reading. I like it.
Chris: Thank you Mary, your heart is in the right place

I gave this love letter to a collegue who was also author of short stories and poems.
Chris: A splendid thing to do Philine. The love expressed might just keep expanding beyond the mortality of the recipients..
I guess the lesson here, Chris, it to always check the books you've been reading for anything you've used as a bookmark. Curious as to why the pepper mill has been put beside the lamp.
Chris: This is just next to the café part of the building Bev, so the poor thing might have got itself lost..
Quite a collection isn't there, some of them are perhaps bigger than the pages of the book they were in.
Chris: That is a funny thought Brian!
this is a piece of art Chris and the artist has a good imagination....petersmile
Chris: Thank you Peter
