The poppy pods are swelling nicely... smile
Chris: Yes they are indeed Ole Sport..
Joli traitement sépia qui donne un air désuet à  cette photo.
Chris: I tried to put some timeless character into it Martine

Do you have the heat wave in England, too, as we have this week (more than 30 degr. C)?
Chris: The heat here is not as extreme as in the European mainland Philine, for which I am exceedingly glad

you might be interested to know of this garden's location

Both outside AND inside, it appears, Chris. How lovely.
Chris: You just can't beat a well thought out garden to feel great yourself Ginnie

Thank you for the link, Chris. This looks like a great place to visit. I love the treatment in this picture. It looks time-less.
Chris: That is what I hoped to achieve Astrid, a feel this could have been taken at any time
Il doit aussi etre très beau en couleur ....sourires !
Chris: Beautiful in all shades Claudine..

I expect before long, the searing heat will soon turn our green and pleasant land (and gardens) into the brown conditions shown here. Before long, the county will have desert-like dust bowl conditions.
Chris: We'll all end up on those empty beaches in the north of Scotland and beyond. Orkney will become another Blackpool..
The effect of the dry weather? Everything looks very brown
Chris: Yes it does
We had a Lions outing to Hampton court Gardens. They are, as you say lovely

This is a special bonus comment
Chris: I think we found the place by complete accident but couldn't access the house because of a vast wedding in progress..

Charming ..just a tip for you though, Chris. It’s a bit of a bummer spilling coffee over your snap ..you have been warned.
Chris: Sepia is a reddish-brown color, named after the rich brown pigment derived from the ink sac of the common cuttlefish Sepia.

The word sepia is the Latinized form of the Greek σηπία, sēpía, cuttlefish

Moreover sepia tones are used in photography; the hue resembles the effect of aging in old photographs, and of older photographs chemically treated either for visual effect or for archival purposes.

It seems that someone has sprayed round-up on everything Tiff, including K.
Chris: It should never be allowed Chad, this sort of thing..

Hereford, Hampton - so you caught up with Eliza Doolittle? Back then. You made cracking picture of these gardens.
Chris: Thank you Louis.Everything in this picture has character..
This has a really timeless feel to it Chris.
Chris: Thank you Brian
This garden looks very natural, Chris; not like some of the manicured flower beds you see at large estates.
Chris: This is the real deal Bev..
A very nice photo and until I red comments, thought it was your own.
Chris: Oh I took it, honest..
