I suspect the Codger has been dressed by his missus, Chris...
Chris: Looks like it, doesn't it..
highly appealing colours here Chris, and i like the razer sharp edge on the hedge.
Chris: Beautifully kept isn't it Ayush
A bold dresser, Chris, he would fit right in here. I like the slice out of the hedge for the path.Nice shot.
Chris: Interesting about fitting in where you are Frank
at least he thinks that he looks cool in those pants Chris....petersmile
Chris: Groovy eh Peter!

This is England -'my' beloved England, too - a wonderful, noble, surely some eccentric gentleman and his adorable lady - the garden - the hedge - all is olde merry England you can still find in the countryside ... - I miss only the umbrella for sometimes it is raining in England, too.
Chris: I am never without my umbrella Philine: caution at all times
And it even has a weathervane, Chris!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippee. smile
Chris: Just for you Ginnie!
Why do men of a certain age either start wearing beige or colours like this?
Chris: Easy: they wear beige because they are preparing to die, they wear this sort of thing because of the wife's social pretensions

Friends visiting your country estate? Is it Lord and lady Muck? Your gardeners do a good job in keep it looking tidy.
Chris: Yes they do, although the razor sharp edges of the topiary can be compromised if we've enjoyed a bucketful of parsnip wine the evening before

As Autumn loomed Hector took great pleasure in wearing his salmon pink leather trousers.
Chris: Would you be seen dead in these?

Nor me..
The epitome of Englishness, Chris.
Chris: It is, isn't it Pauline

He is a toff Tiff, the red trousers give it away, I see them in Waitrose, Cirencester.
Chris: I'll bet you do Chad
I love the mister's red pants. I also like that he is not afraid to wear them.
Chris: I would not wear these myself Mary
Determination of both can cross through any topiary ahead...
Chris: Quite so JC
I like how the colour of his pants match the top of his wife's shoes. Looks like a lovely place to explore, Chris.
Chris: A country house near where I live Bev

I see red trousers worn by elder gentlemen also in our country, added by a sunhat like Alan or this sir is wearing. It seems to be fashion since last year. The topiary needs some care.
Chris: I expect this man has heard of Master Rolfe and wishes to copy him
I blame M and S for this.Bill would look nice dressed like this.
Chris: The very thought of it!
Maureen probably wouldn't go out with me if I wore trousers like those.
Chris: And I wouldn't blame her!
Summer Week - 2 is my fav so far.
Chris: Thank you Jacquelyn
