Well now it's mid summer the time has come to take some landscape pictures.

Unfortunately at this time of year everything is far too green & lush to be photographically interesting.

The thing to do therefore is to roll up one's sleeves and get cracking - to effect a fake winter.

It's quite easy when you know how.

This is pure genius. It must have been hard enough to add a layer of frost, but to remove the leaves from the trees is a mammoth task. Or did you clone in some bald trees? No, you wouldn't take the easy option. Stunning work Sir Tiff

I agree with you about summer/winter photography - give me winter any day where you can see the bare bones of the trees, the light is soft and gentle and the ground is covered in a light dusting of frost. I'm feeling all nostalgic, and it's not even July yet! Hope you don't have to stick all the leaves back on the trees now.

Won't even try and speculate as to your technique here ... Regardless, I really like the wide-open vista that includes an interesting foreground (what are those things under that frosty mantle?).
