Purple, the Tyrian crimson dye, got in ancient times from various shellfish. Now any mixture of red and blue.
Chris Phillips: I did not know that Aussie: thank you
British paints thanks you Chris
Chris Phillips: They've really little to thank me for Vintage - considering how little I've employed them over the years

Chris Phillips: Well I suppose it's verging on the regal - but not quite
The Baconbuttie Hills were indeed alive to the sound of happy folk. The car park was full and many butties were consumed. I had my roast pork buttie and considered life to be above average. Now to more serious matters. When I was first married (late in the 19th century) This colour enjoyed a period of popularity. Victoria was the name given (by Dulux) and we had it on our bedroom door with matching sheets and bedspread, pale lilac walls and a dark green carpet. At the time we loved it!
Are you taking syrup of figs to help recover your camera?
Chris Phillips: You lived surrounded by this colour!!! Oh well - I suppose it was a long time ago.
My camera will be brought back into use (gradually) within a few days
Do you mean to say this happened with your camera after you swallowed it and po...d it out again...wow I am impressed, can you sit already....erm..erm...I am guessing...erm....is this purpleish/green/yellow/orange???with a touch of blue...I know I should have payed attention while I had to study this guy, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johannes_Itten.........
Chris Phillips: Keep watching Astrid!
Episcopal purple is my favourite. I am worried that photoshop has taken over your images completely Chris - don't think you quite have the hang of layers yet ;o)
Chris Phillips: Glad you're back with is Mike! Have no fear - Photoshop will soon loosen its grip
Is this protocol part of camera's repair procedure Chris?
Chris Phillips: It is a spiritual awakening for it Richard
Are you looking over my shoulder Chris? From the colour of my car, to my favourite pink, to clean green, to pretty purple - all my favourites and you have selected them. Can't wait to see what work or ar tomorrow brings. If you choose red, then I know you are around somewhere near!!!
Chris Phillips: What a strange set of co-incidences Sheila: I'm afraid it's going to be a lovely shade of Battleship Grey for a while now - although I expect my Noble Friend: ex of the paint trade will eagerly pronounce on the correct Dulux nomenclature
this blog always cracks me up
Chris Phillips: Does it!
