This is the charming village of Salcombe Regis in Devon. I have often enjoyed koffie & crumpets with my singing coach Mrs Matthews here in this discreet little hideaway...
It is very satisfying to find a civilised little corner of the world like this - where people ask few if any questions.

Beautiful. I love the rows of crosses.
Chris Phillips: Thank you Jessie: this is in deepest Devon - miles down country lanes

Chris Phillips: Very Englisg Vintage eh!
One of the places my parents used to take us on camping vacations when I was a child.
A superb photograph, Chris
Chris Phillips: SPLENDID - I thought no one would know the place!
But no doubt the net curtains were twitching throughout the time of your visit to Mrs Matthews.

Chris Phillips: You bet they were!
They don't ask questions much in Devon. Mostly it takes twenty years or so before they say good morning.
Lovely picture Chris. Very much the English church in spring.
Chris Phillips: Well I thought that now spring is here we might as well not live in denial but celebrate it with a vengeance: O Great One
Lovely image Chris well composed. Sure to be plenty history here. Bet its creepy at night, looks very very old well done.
Chris Phillips: Thank you Scotia: you will notice the cherry tree in full bloom

Chris Phillips: Thank you Tim: have a good day yourself
Mmm.. an idyllic spot away from the pressures of life that we seem to endure these days. Lovely spring colours.

Beautiful composition Chris. I like the lighting!
Chris Phillips: Thank you very much Richard
This churchyard could be a fascinating place to walk around. I bet some of those stones could be hundreds of years old, and with time to look you could probably follow family histories here. Lovely.
Chris Phillips: Oh yes Sheila - there's lots of history in a place like this
Looks just like my kinda place for a quiet coffee... :O)
Chris Phillips: It may be a little far for you to drive in a day Smits
Chris this is pure delight, so English, so nice, so well composed, Spring is in the air, I agree with Smits...a nice quiet place for a cupje coughie.
Chris Phillips: Or a jug of it Astrid!
Nobody about to snoop on your assignations with Mrs Matthews - the dead are very discreet. A lovely evocation of the English landscape in Spring.
Ingrid

Chris Phillips: I am obliged to you for your kind comment
Nice to see a grave yard shot thats positive - I very often see these shots in BW with heavy dark skies...
Chris Phillips: There's no point in being too gloomy in a graveyard Axel: I agree with you
Another nice bit of England to go along with Alan's picture of today Chris. There's no place like home sometimes.
Chris Phillips: There's no place like home - always Brian!
Well, you'd be amazed what the spirit can do...
Chris Phillips: I'm sure it can do a great deal Smits
