J'aime ces petits chemins au bord de l'eau pour faire de belles balades.
Chris: This path runs from Bath to Newbury Martine, a very long way

Taken on your evening walk, Chris?
Chris: Yes indeed Lisl. Just look at that gorgeous Horse Chestnut tree, the real reason for the picture
  • Richard Trim
  • Suffolk: where the sun rises first in England.

I hope they didn’t push you in the canal.
Chris: I beg your pardon!!
That song is still one of my all time favourites
Chris: Mine too, takes me back..

I remember that Del Shanon song. I saw him at the Pav. Tiff. As for the image, it is wonderful in composition and perspective, almost 3d.
Chris: Blimey - I might have seen him at the Pav too Chad but I cannot remember because I am OLD
J'adore les péniches !!
Chris: Beautiful aren't they
How lucky to live not far from this stretch of canal and that beautfiul tree. Great video as well, we were both word perfect, shows our age!!
Chris: Yes this is an unforgettable song
brings back memories of walking many canals in England in the past
Chris: There area lot of them
England has such a wonderful canal system, Chris. Just look at this beautiful spot along it; one of many I'm sure.
Chris: One of thousands Bev. This location is near to my home
your internal canal system was the shipping system prior to the invention of the railroads if my memory of history is correct.
Chris: Yes indeed Alan. The success of the rail system killed canals off and only in the last 40 years have they seen a revival, mainly for tourism
that is what I thought I have learned over the past 41 years when I first traveled around the UK...especially in Stratford-on-Avon and other places Chad and Norma showed me in 2008
Terrific shot - I love the close detail of the wood on the boat..and the runners in the back
Chris: Well it's certainly a lovely looking craft..
I sure loved that song back in the day.
