A nice shot, Chris, I like the lead in.
Chris: Thank you Frank, this was taken as I walked along the canal into Bath

The surroundings are so splendid it took me a while to find the handsome fisherman...
Chris: And he was so unafraid of humans too. I walked up to within a couple of feet..
The bird makes the picture...
Chris: Without it there would be no main point of interest Larry

Remember when this canal was rather derelict Tiff. One thing to be applauded.
Chris: Bet no one took pix of it then, in the olden days Chad

They have some patience and a keen eye. They never look happy fishing, though; perhaps they should find another pastime?
Chris: It could take up fell running or photography perhaps?

I really like this shot Chris, very good composition, interesting subject matter and the Heron is just in the right place. One for your 'My Best Images' folder.
Chris: Oh thank you Brian

Such patience they have!
Chris: It's either that or die I'm afraid Anne..
I would have never been able to get this close to the fisherman, Chris. Well done!
The bird on the curve acts as a great door to your scene.
