Its a sort of big tower, with a couple of leanto after-thoughts...
Chris: And a pole with no flag
Magnifique petite église.
Chris: Thank you Martine

looking like a castle - such a long pole, but no Union Kack flag.
William Barnes' English voice sounds like music, but I did understand only some words.
Chris: A lot of the words are in old Dorset dialect Philine, few if any English persons would understand them

Ah yes - I remember it well. Must do some more Dorset Church walks this year!
Chris: OMG Lisl, doing this wonderful walk was the antithesis of this current ghastly weather. The thought of continuing to do this sort of thing really does keep me alive..

Oh sorry, Union Jack ! ('Kack' is an ugly word in German)
Chris: These days it is usually referred to as the Union Flag Philine

How delightful; it looks delightfully pocked-sized. I like the light in this very much.

How's you snow? it's all but gone in the city although some people in the New Forest still say they are "cut off". I loved the snow; it's the only time that my garden looks the same as everyone else's.
Chris: Yes our garden briefly looked wonderful too. Everything here is melting fast, thank heaven..
Love the poem!
Chris: Whattaguy!!

I have an anthology of Barnes's Poetry ...and very enjoyable it is as I have also got a Dorset dialect reference book
Chris: You never cease to amaze me
Now that looks old.
Chris: Yes it is Mary
What a fine old church, it has an attractive mix of stone and I love the 'four square' tower.
Chris: A good description Brian: thank you
I suppose it is a church, even if the fortified aspect could make one think of a small castle.
Chris: It is a church certainly Claudio
Nice shot, Chris.
Chris: Much obliged Tom
