Glastro could be a suburb of Bath, Chris.
Chris: Glastonbury is a little more "alternative-culture" than Bath Ray
wiping his hands of it all
Chris: Actually I thought he was pontificating Larry. Found the secret of eternal happiness, that sort of thing..
Hmmmm - not sure if he's happy with it all...
Chris: Maybe not..
This is when each one of us could easily build our own story, Chris. I assume he has an imaginary friend that no one else cares a whit about. smile
Chris: For sure he inhabits a world of his own Ginnie. But I guess a lot of us do that thing..
Ce monsieur a l'air de parler tout seul.
Chris: He seems happy with his own company..

I think you have photographed the gentleman on the left before, Chris?
Chris: You are quite right Lisl. Well observed!

I thought that we were our le continent at first as I could see an English word. Well, apart from "Morrisons" (but then when I was in Austria decades ago, I did see a women carrying her day's hiking supplies in a Tesco carrier bag). I like the reflections of the buildings in the cafe windows.
Chris: One fine day I suggest you stop off in Glastonbury on one of your many forays into the great outdoors. It is a place of interest..

First I thought this were a photo by Ricardo - the people look rather normal. I see Glasto is now full in Italian and French - European- hands, - no English words like pies or scones!
Chris: In the UK we have fully embraced the notions of Continental-European eating and drinking Philine. The country has changed beyond all recognition since I was a teenager, when you would NEVER see tables and chairs outside an establishment such as this..
This lot need a decent bacon buttie
Chris: Surely a purely vegan diet is the way forward for healthy eating

This is again a great picture and I remember I liked Glasto a lot. I think this man is counting money, in his head, using his fingers to help him out.
I can see why you love this place too.
Chris: Thank you Astrid. The sheer eccentricity of Glastonbury enchants me

The same change in our country - what were we without the Italian cuisine! Sometimes only the Italian cafés and reatauraunts (with family staff) are open on some days.
I personally like Wells quite more than Glasto!
Chris: Wells & Glastonbury: chalk and cheese..

A number of characters in this picture. Judging by the rest of the people, the bald guy carrying an imaginary baby, should have something warmer on his feet. Maybe he is arguing the pro's and con's with himself.
Chris: He would be certainly encouraged to do this in our dire climate Louis..

What an odd looking collection of characters Tiff. The bloke in the red jacket and ridiculous trousers looks as if his fingers are all sticky after eating a sticky bun.
Chris: Err...yes Chad
When I read Glastonbury I always think of that awful music festival that swamps the media and BBC every year, I guess away from that the town itself it quite a nice place to visit, you have certainly recomended it at times.
Chris: The Glastonbury Festival is held about 5 miles away from the town Brian
I think the man in red is hoping for a person with string in hopes for a round of cats in the cradle.
Chris: Hahaha - very good Mary!

Someone must have inspired you to take coffee shop photographs.
Chris: I do not wish to disabuse you of this ridiculous notion
You can always find original characters for your shots. But the bar reading the writings seems Italian, except for the "baguette" smile
Chris: Thank you Claudio.

In the UK we embrace food and drink from other nations
