the mechanic seems to have rather powerful arms while he is cheerfully humming at his work, Chris
Chris: He loves his vocation Ayush

This is Wunnerful!

I believe he is playing the spokes like a harp, Chris!
Chris: He can play a tune on any set of wheels, he has had a lifetime of practise
Or - it could be Ray's old bike! Nice shot - and great treatment!
Chris: Thank you Elizabeth. Where there are bikes there will always be bike mechanics..
Delightful, Chris. And yes, I believe for the timing it must have been Ray's bike. So glad everything is in order now. smile
Chris: Another shot from Munich Ginnie
What a great image , Chris
Chris: You are a lovely person

Oh wonderful! I can just imagine that this bike needed three people to lift it up on to the stand and all have since developed hernias. Is that a "NSU" badge on the mudguard? At one time, both my mother and father had a NSU Quickly - a 50cc moped.
Chris: I really don't know about the provenance of the bike except to say it is probably German, photographed in Munich
A proper bike, none of this fancy featherlight alloy nonsense
Chris: For feather-light and alloy read PONCEY

My worst fear was that I might end up in a job where I dressed and looked like this Tiff.
Chris: I wonder if it's true to say we end up doing what we deserve to Chad?

You are following your Little Sister showing us a Man at Work! I think Mr. Alan has many bikes. As teenie I had a 'Gazelle' bike.
Chris: It could be argued Mr Rolfe has more bikes than brain cells Philine
Is he about to fit racing rims
Chris: In this circumstance that is unlikely..
Beautiful, it looks like an image of other times
Chris: It looks like a page from history Claudio

I wonder what all you have seen in Munich we Germans rarely notice.
Chris: It would be the same for me in the way foreigners see Bath..
Somewhat different than the bike and mechanic I showed on my recent Tour of Britain weekend series, this is how it was done in the old days.
Chris: A completely different world I would suggest Brian
I think that bike would need several overs before Mr. Rolfe would touch it!
Chris: Yes indeed, he's a bike snob..
I M HOPING mR. rOLFE GETS THE MAKEOVER.
Chris: Poor old thing..
Good to see the latest models...
Chris: It's a go-anywhere bike Larry, preferably to the scrapyard..
