A rather nondescript building - perhaps on purpose!
Chris: A big old cigarette factory in Bristol. The remaining ones have been converted to other uses rather than demolished, which is a good thing really..
Honey dew cigarettes???? Hmmmm. I wonder if production has gone down for them in the last years (like the level of the river?). I sure hope they're out of business soon, though probably not in my lifetime, right?!
Chris: Cigarette smoking has declined drastically in the UK Ginnie, thank heaven. They used to be cheap and plentiful, now only beggars and idiots smoke..

Did we pass this on one of our walks?? I am glad they kept the building. Did you ever visit it? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_Archives
Chris: Yes we did pass it on our way to the suspension bridge. One day I will visit it..

Nicely composed Tiff, and I’m not talking bout yourself. I think the low river with its banks of mud look good here, with the light on it. The cyclist just adds interest. That was a very enjoyable day.
Chris: Yes it was enjoyable Chad. Since making friends with my chum Ann I have discovered more & more about this city I used to regard with almost contempt. I am a late convert making up for lost time..

Ahhh.. I remember walking past this. I wondered at the time just at the huge number of bricks used in its construction. Did I blink and miss the high tide?
Chris: Vast isn't it, and there are a couple more of them too. I'm glad they haven't been demolished and turned into fast food outlets or social house, or something..
Architecture pas vraiment au top ..
La photo est bien vue !
Chris: Thank you Claudine, this is a remnant of industrial Bristol

Are we in England or in Dresden? Still working? A grandious buiding!
Chris: This is Bristol Philine, one of the old tobacco factories. One of Bristol's main employers were the tobacco barons of old

Oh sorry -https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yenidze
No, we are in Bristol, but I have not seen this buiding!
Chris: There are several buildings of this sort near Bedminster in Bristol, these days all doing more pleasant things than slowly killing the population from many horrible smoking-related diseases..
Gold flake were upmarket fags
Chris: I loved 'em but they were a tad expensive. I often smoked Kensitas, which tasted nice and seemed to have a certain style..

Is that a tidal canal, Chris, or did someone accidently pull out the plug?
Chris: A tidal river Ray, the Avon that runs through Bath
We have the remnants of tobacco kilns and that part of the industry here.
Chris: I see. Not many people in the UK smoke any more

The picture is a great one, especially with the cyclist in the corner.

Tongue in cheek: Tobacco grows in the ground, it is not made in a factory. They probably made cigarettes in the factory.
Chris: The official name for this old fag works is the Tobacco Factory Louis
It's actually quite a good looking buuilding isn't it. I don't think I ever smoked any of their brands/
Chris: I smoked a few of them Brian..
Honey Dew pick me up some cigarettes at the tobacco factory.
Chris: It'll STUNT YOUR GROWTH Larry!
An industrial icon - has it been taken over for some purpose?
Chris: There are at least three of these old warehouses Tom, all have been converted for modern functions, housing, offices, theatre etc
