A fine pic, Chris.

This map is very useful.

This image could make my day! What a fine map of Wessex - Lisl showed once the grave of Thomas Hardy to me. Today I'll visit an arboretum in autumnal glory.
Chris: A fine thing to do Philine. This is part of the garden at Athelhampton Manor which Thomas Hardy's father helped to build

Fascinating to see Hardy's Wessex on a map; can't recall seeing anything like that before. The garden looks to be a lovely place with the pretty flowering things which I believe to be not roses nor daffodils but probably hydrangea.
Chris: I wonder why Hardy didn't change the name of Southampton to something more appropriate like Sh*tehampton?

An area dear to my heart, Chris
Chris: And mine too, as you know Lisl
As lone seats go this has got to be one I would really like to sit quietly on as long as it was as empty as this otherwise.
Chris: It was empty the day I was there Brian
A beautiful, harmonious image...
Chris: Thank you kindly Larry
I have never seen such a beautiful display of hydrangeas.
Chris: They look very happy in this garden

This is the sort of location I go to when I'm in a meditative trance.
Chris: That is a splendid thought Penny
