Apparently "Rosemary Verey was one of Britain's best known gardeners, admired by English and American gardeners alike.". It will probably come as no surprise to learn that I've never heard of her. This garden (Barnsley House?) certainly seems to be appreciated by ladies of certain age who think that the plants remind them of the days when they wore rah-rah skirts.
Chris: Yes she was very famous in her own world, designed Prince Charles' garden at Highgrove
I read somewhere that Highgrove is full of weeds
Chris: Hmmm...yes it is
I like the rural look to this garden and having the visitors there adds to the image.
Chris: Thank you Brian
this is the way a garden should look like Chris... not all trimmed up in boxes....petersmile
Chris: I agree with that Peter
She obviously liked her alliums!
Chris: Oh - and lots of other things too Tom..
This is so pretty! I think I'd like to visit Mrs Verey's garden!
Chris: It's open once a year only..
cannot almost hear it......
peaceful times!
